Nikka Miyagikyo Single Malt (45%) is a complex, fruity and soft Japanese single malt made at the Miyagikyo distillery near Sendai in northern Japan. It is a rich and fruity whisky with notes of fresh cut grass, honey and citrus peel. Nikka was created in 1934 by Masataka Taketsuru, the “Father of Japanese Whisky”. Miyagikyo was set up in 1969 after Taketsuru had been making whisky at Yoichi for 35 years and was designed to produce very different style of spirit. It is ideal for fans of Speyside whiskies and is best enjoyed neat.
